TIME FLY'S

Are you a "Clock Watcher?"  Are you an anxious type, pacer or foot kicker?  Even if you aren't, many of us find it hard to wait!

As fast-paced as our world has become, that feeling of...
"hurry up...quicker"...seems to just attack!   It comes from nowhere driving us to rush.

So...our Dr.'s say ..."reduce stress,
you'll live longer...

We are all looking for that certain "stress buster"

Running on Empty?

I just hate when rudeness rules...
And when sarcasm isn't funny...

Well hold on coz nothing says "stress test" like road construction on a Holiday Weekend!

The amount of distraction in our lives has "by-passed" our thoughts and invaded our behavior...dare I say our hearts?

Our sensitivity filter run's on empty, and pressure rises...including our Blood pressure   :)

While Re-construction is a fact...how we work it, handle it, accept is something else...Fire up Your GPS and find an alternate route! :) Any road work scheduled in your neighborhood?

Instead, be kind... forgiving...and leave 15min early  :)

Silent Partner

You have heard...
Its not getting what you want...
Its wanting what you've got...

Contentment? We seem to be constantly chasing it!
I'll be happy when... I get....  The new I-Pad...oops...wait 5min the new one will be out :)
Or when I find that special someone...Or the latest and greatest...top rated...thing from STUFF-Mart...

But alas...we still chase...
So...if stuff doesn't make us happy,
and food doesn't work...and relationships aren't the answer...where IS it found?

You gotta look deeper...

The strength of the Tower Piers are casually seen...

But as strong as The Mighty Mack is...the unseen strength is its "Silent Partner...

Jesus is the ROCK

Who is your Silent Partner?

JUST WALK THE DOG

When we get excited about a new hobby, activity or sport...
most of us just jump right in the "deep end"...

We buy all the equipment, sign up for all the lessons, and even get the membership!  But if your golf clubs are collecting dust with the bow-flex,
Maybe it's time for Ebay or CraigsList :)

Learning anything new usually comes one step at time.
Especially if its something like breaking old habits or starting a new one...Or learning to stop worrying...or finding time to pray.

While learning to walk safely again after stroke, my therapist helped me set a goal and work toward it.
Something realistic..."Something you do every day" she said...

So...having trouble "sticking" with It? Make it part of your "every day" ... JUST WALK THE DOG :)

If we walk in the light as He is in the light we have true fellowship with one another .  1john 1:7a

PRIDE N JOY

The Power of words...Mom would say...
If you can't say something nice,.
then don't say anything at all!

How many times have we blurted out something only to beat ourselves up over it later.  If you are like me, I get excited about something, and I forget that..." I may not"  be the foremost authority on the topic! :)
                                            Anyway
I am the oldest of three girls, and Mom was famous for that line.  We would start arguing over something... usually clothes, bathroom time, or who's turn it was for dishes!  And incidentally, we grew up in Allen Park... with one...bathroom...my poor Dad!  But Mom really made sure we learned ...She made up a game...She used "JOY" dish soap. If we lost control of our (teenage) mouth, she say "that's a J'...then she'd say "you've got an O'...You get the picture...It didn't take long for us to swallow our pride and zip the lips:)

Happy Memories Mom!
